Til-Tech started in 1991 and located just 30 miles north of New Orleans, was originally a hothouse tomato farm. The 2 huge steel and glass greenhouses were ideal for the culture of Tilapia.

Til-Tech was originally conceived to supply a hand full of restaurants in the New Orleans area. Til-Tech quickly became a research facility for LSU Agricultrural and Engineering Programs. It Pioneered research in green water re-circulation systems using bead filter technology developed by Ron Malone, PhD.

Til-Tech was initially built to be a grow out facility. We soon saw the need for a hatchery and now Til-Tech is a state of the art hatchery and has the capacity to produce 12 million plus fry annually.
